We stayed at Casa Verde for 7 nights for a family vacation with our 2 kids and really enjoyed it. Emily was a thoughtful host and made our first La Ventana experience an easy and relaxing one. As wing foilers, Casa Verde was setup fairly well for water access, we would just walk our gear a couple hundred feet up the beach and launch from the rock free section of the sandy beach. The hotel guests were mostly other wind sports enthusiast that were looking for a low key basecamp with easy access to nearby restaurants and activities. Would definitely recommend Casa Verde to others.
Casa Verde is one of the best places to stay if you’re into water sports / activities! There are so many wonderful things about this accommodation but the best is the beach access and viewing deck with fire table- wake up early & watch the sunrise, check out the wind & waves as they change throughout the day, watch the Kiters/wingers/windsurfers, read a book, check your email… many an hour spent in the lounge chairs there!! Each casita is facing the lush & colourful inner garden which makes for a wonderful setting. We enjoyed morning yoga 6 days a week right on site (super convenient!) with the birds chirping around us, the waves as background music. Rooms are exceptionally clean and the daily housekeeping a fabulous treat to keep the sand at bay and the beds fresh. Emily & Phil are exceptional people and phenomenal hosts - they truly care about each guest’s experience and will do everything necessary to make your stay great. Their 2 boys and rescued dog, Lola add a family feel to the place and are a real joy. This is a great place to meet other kiters and non-kiters because of the outdoor kitchen (available to everyone if they wish to cook or share meals) as well as the meeting place on the viewing deck. Many restaurants nearby or lots that are a short car ride / long walk away. We love the vibe at Casa Verde!! Thanks so much Emily & Phil!!
Emily and Phil are wonderful hosts, and this place is a slice of heaven. A sweet, quiet spot with fantastic yoga classes, lovely guests, and a true family feeling. While it’s not fancy, it has everything you need not to mention a warmth that you can’t put a price on. It’s simple perfection. I will be returning.
This was our first time at Casa Verde but not our last. They have a wonderful space with the piece and quite we were looking for during our Kiteboarding vacation. We have stayed at 3 other places within 1km of this location and this has been by far the best. Cheers to Emily and Phil
My mom and I love this place. Beautiful beach front setting. easy wind sport access, lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hosts are wonderful and friendly. The Temezcal (sauna) is a must do. We will be back
We loved our stay at casa verde. Emily and Phil communicate so well. The place has such a lovely feel with all the plants and proximity to the beach. The rooms were cleaned daily and the communal kitchen was great for chatting with other guests, our 3 year old made friends with another little person which was super cute. I went to yoga most mornings and loved the classes.
Absolutely perfect place to stay in La Ventana. The location is walkable to restaurants, my favorite chocolate coffee bar, and kiteboarding launches. The people are so friendly that you feel like family by the end of the stay. I would highly recommend this resort.
Don't hesitate, do it! Phil and Emily are incredible. Yoga lessons for any ability, welcoming environment, good food just up the road, and of course.. the most amazing sunrises!
